Christmas is a coming!

Dear Friends,

It is hard to believe that it is already December 13th and Christmas less that two weeks away.

My beautiful BFL's are doing very well. It looks like all have caught in their first cycle so I hoping that lambs will hit the ground in early April! What an exciting prospect.

Our weather has been positively balmy in comparison to some of the cold temperatures and winds experienced in the central to northern parts of both BC and Alberta. Our winter temperatures have been hovering consistently in the minus 5 to minus 15 range and we have just a few centimeters of snow on the ground. Still hoping for a white Christmas though and there are predictions of snow for early in the coming week.

Here in the valley, even the wind has been kind to us over the last few days. We just returned from Kamloops (Mike had decided that the bathroom needs a pre-Christmas reno) and the wind there was absolutely wicked. It reminded me of prairie winters - not alot of snow but lots and lots of wind.

My apologies. There are no new photos to share at the moment. There is just too much pre-Christmas stuff to contend with. In January, I hope to get this blog all ship shape so that it provides more current information. Bear with me please, as this will all be a learning experience.

All the best,
Margaret

Welcome to a Work in Progress

Dear Friends,

I am hopeful that this will be prove to be a useful way to share information about my wonderful flock of Bluefaced Leicester sheep.

It will take a bit of time to get this organized so check back in a week or so to see some photos and descriptions of our farm, the sheep, their amazing fibre and what I am doing with it.

More soon,
Margaret
